From October 20 to November 1, the bis ART gallery hosts the group exhibition «The Loud Silence of Touch», where you can try to honor the memory of what cannot be expressed in words.
We rarely think about how much our body talks. Words can lie, conceal, or confuse. But a hand resting on a shoulder, or a palm that lingers for a second in someone else’s, does not know how to pretend. Sometimes a fleeting contact is enough for an ordinary moment to acquire a special meaning and remain in memory for a long time.
Touch is a language that we learn before speech and for which it is no longer needed. He lives in the tips of his fingers, in the warmth of his hands, in a light movement that outstrips thought. Touching can warm, or it can burn. An article about home or abroad. It can be gentle, awkward, cautious, unexpected. It’s not the gesture itself that decides everything, but what’s behind it: trust, attention, the desire to be around, or the need to pull away.
«The Loud Silence of Touch» is dedicated to the physical side of human communication. Moments of physical contact that often go unnoticed, but some of them remain in the memory for a long time. Sometimes the quietest gesture speaks louder than words. Touch is revealed here as a special way to express feelings and perceive both oneself and another.
The exhibition is attended by residents of the gallery, as well as the following artists who have passed the open call: Elena Simonova, Elvira Kovrigina, Maria Ovsyannikova, Anastasia Chicheva, Victoria Ponomareva (Shrimp), Karina Levitskaya, Elena Fenster, Tomiris Maratova, Alina Asomnia, Anastasia Redina, Shura Chu, Natalia Sergeevna, Lyubov Degtyareva, Julia Nazar, jack moto
