A special PROJECT TO SUPPORT YOUNG ARTISTS starting in 2024

OQ6ANA

The topic of short-term memory in an era when information is ubiquitous is extremely interesting to the artist Oksana Afanasyeva. She often finds herself thinking that every day, from any social network, from messengers, from the media, we receive a stream of information that is presented as extremely important. Oksana argues that so far the human brain is probably not developed to such an extent that it can effectively perceive and process the amount of information that is coming at us every minute.

Maya Abuelez

Maya’s work is based on the rebus principle, in some cases it is more understandable, in others it is less, almost every word is encrypted. The viewer chooses how to read these puzzles, finding their own formulations.

«Man and the city are the main topic that I try to touch upon in my works. I think a lot about how people are able to change after certain events and communication with each other.»

SFKNG

Sofa is a young artist from Lake Baikal, working under the pseudonym SFKNG. I grew up in Moscow, but I spent my youth traveling and nostalgic for my homeland. In 2016−2019, she studied graphic design, lived and worked in Shanghai, and then moved to other countries, but Moscow always remained her starting point, a place of strength.
In all this nostalgia, she found her own direction — fairy tales from childhood, reinterpreted by adult emotions. The main characters are fly agarics, and you can find them in almost every painting.

Maryam Samokhvalova

Maryam examines femininity and human tenderness in her work.

«There are usually two sides fighting in my soul: one is asking for more bodies, the other is asking for more grotesqueness. Sometimes the soul lies towards something softer and warmer, and sometimes you want something more gloomy or sad.»
