Alyona Zhamozdik is a full-time artist who works with mosaics and complementary mediums. Member of the Union of Mosaic Artists of Russia, ambassador of contemporary mosaics, resident and curator of the M.O.Kh. Artists' association. Her works are in private collections in Russia, Belarus, Italy and Spain.

In her work, Alyona explores the boundaries and possibilities of mosaics as a tool for expressing philosophical and existential questions that interest her. Her works are reflections on human nature, the path, the trajectory of life and the boundaries of free will within structured social systems. Through the use of various materials — from traditional smalt, marble and semi-precious stones to glass, metal and even sand — the artist creates visually rich, multi-layered works that reveal the structure of human perception of the world.

Testing the hypothesis of the mosaic nature of reality, the central attention is paid to the study of the interaction of individual elements («tesserae») and the path («andamente») in the overall picture of being. Each fragment of the mosaic becomes a symbol of an individual part of a complex social structure, and the composition itself is a visualization of the deep processes occurring in consciousness and society.
